Ride-on Annual Motorcycle Show

Ride-on Annual BBQ & Motorcycle Show

It started out as an ordinary day, but boy did it quickly get exciting as the annual Ride-on BBQ was held from 11am to 4pm in Vallejo, California, and many more guests and participants attended the show this year. In addition to the free BBQ, Ride-on acquired a permit to secure the block for the party and hosted a motorcycle stunt show. The stunt riders thrilled the crowd with three separate shows, completely destroying several rear tires to impress the spectators. The riders performed numerous wheelies and special stunts and the created a lot of smoke filled exhibits to entertain the 500 plus spectators.

Along with the hundreds of beautiful motorcycles, there were over 60 cars provided by the two car clubs. Car from BUTH included: Adolph’s 65 El Camino, Steve’s 56 F150, Joe’s 70 Camaro, John’s 69 Camaro, Larry’s and Bonnie’s 59 Impala, Larry Torres’ 56 Chevy, and Lonnie’s 56 Chevy. There were plenty of strong motor sounds coming from cars and healthy motorcycles all day, mixed with the booming sounds of hip hop music provided by Ride-on Motorcycles.

Steve and the crew from Ride-on provided and prepared all of the food, burgers, links, hot dogs, and soft drinks and water. No one left hunger and there was plenty of food. The shop provided cookies and other deserts afterward for the guest to enjoy.

Ride-on started giving tours in the morning, but later decided to just open the shop to all the guests as so many wanted to tour the facility which includes an apparel shop, parts department, sales shop and lobby, and a 16-bay repair warehouse. Joe Gracie compared the shop to a TV reality show.

Ride-on also provided a photo booth where guests could take pictures on the provided motorcycle, and they provided a dynamic display for motorcyclist who wanted to know the engine output of their motorcycle. Corporate sponsors (Law Tigers, Dunlop Tires, Thunder Roads, Drag Specialties, etc.) setup booths along with local sponsors (Boutique Classique, Flex Audio, Arlen Ness, etc.), selling everything from key chains to clothing to motorcycle parts.

The event this year was much larger than last year’s event, and the next show will likely be even larger with more spectators coming out to see the gorgeous motorcycles, cars, and witness the outstanding stunt show.

This was an outstanding event which should be experienced by the whole family, 3 months to 90-plus years, especially when the weather cooperates as it did today with mild winds, 75 degree temperature, and a bright sunny, blue cloudless sky. A perfect day for socializing with the community.
